I will be leaving August 6th to travel around Kentucky in search of geodes. Can anyone offer directions/addresses of the collection sites mentioned in the field trip report titled "Kentucky Geode Field Trip
September 2-4, 2006"? This is my first geode hunt and need to he pointed in the right direction. Who do I need to speak to on the private properties?

Melinda,

The farm in the 2006 report is on private property and its location can't be shared as the owner only allows a select group to collect there on an annual basis.  The other location at the railroad crossing in Kings Mountain, Kentucky is NOT a location for beginners.  I'll see what I can do to provide more advice by PM.

Mike
