McRocks is not a club and therefore has no membership requirements.
No matter if you are an experienced or newbie rockhound, we encourage
everyone to post messages on McRocks. The only stupid question here is
the one you don't ask! All are welcome to participate in field trips and events.

Welcome to McRocks!

Annual Christmas Rock Trade

In order to participate, I will need your:

Name
Address
Email address

(Click on my underlined name above-left to email me.)

Sign Up Due Date
You must have your information in by the end of October

Wants......What you would like to get, don't limit yourself too much or it will be hard to match you. You may want to include key words like.....fossils, cabbing rough, slabs, minerals, micros, marbles...large or small?, faceting, etc. For instance, if you collect just minerals then you may want to put in several kinds of rocks that you would like to have. If you would be happy with anything that can be cabbed then cabbing rough is good enough. And for those that like em all, put in "surprise me!" If there is something that you really don't want, because you already have a bunch of it, then put that in there too!
Trades.......Hopefully if you plan on getting into the trade, you will have several different items to trade. If you have cabbing rough or faceting rough you will be easy to match up. However if you are just into minerals or fossils then you should try to have several different options .

Example,
Wants.......Cabbing slabs, garnet, brown dinosaur bone, smokey quartz, obsidian, anything for making cabs..
Trades.......Rocks......Quartz crystal, geodes, petrified wood,,, cabbing rough ...dinosaur bone, coprolite,,, slabs....dinosaur bone, coprolite, jasper, agate

Rules

Total amount for trade ... all you can stuff in a priority mail flat rate box, put in what you will.

Send your information to me directly, it is not a good idea to post it on the board.

If you are cheap, and don't send to whom you are supposed to or send something worth only a buck and there is a complaint you will not be allowed to participate in the next trade....and I will know where you live.....;~)

How it works!
I will notify you by email by November . or there abouts, who you send to. You most likely will not receive from the person that you send to, however, on occasion this may happen if you and one other person are the only two that match.
You will be given the information for shipping and the email of the person that you are to send to. You will also get a list of their wants.

Make sure your data is current. This includes emails and address changes. Notify me of any changes as soon as possible. I will make a cursory check before I send everyone’s info out on Nov. 1. If the email address is not correct you may email me directly and I will check on it....or you may just find it on McRocks.
